Silver Falls School District Announces New Director of Facilities & Maintenance

We are excited to welcome Javier Torres as the Silver Falls School District's new Director of Facilities and Maintenance.

Javier brings more than 20 years of facilities and custodial experience, all earned with the North Clackamas School District. His career reflects a deep commitment to service and hard work, beginning as a custodial substitute and progressing through roles as Lead Custodian and Head Custodian at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. That hands-on experience has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to maintain safe, welcoming, and efficient learning environments for students and staff.

Over the past four years, Javier has served in an administrative leadership role, overseeing more than 70 employees across 32 sites, managing a district-wide custodial substitute program, and leading a gym floor refinishing program serving 28 schools. He also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences with minors in Public Administration and Business from Washington State University.

A proud Clackamas County native, Javier is also a devoted family man who has been married to his wife for 14 years and enjoys spending time with their 12-year-old daughter. When he's not working, you may find him out on the golf course enjoying a round with friends and family.

Javier joins Silver Falls following the departure of Facilities Director Jeff Alderman. We are grateful for Jeff's service and the positive impact he made on our district, and we are excited to welcome Javier as the next leader of our facilities team.
