OVERVIEW OF PTCC
The Victor Point PTCC is a non-profit independent support organization for Victor Point School designed to raise funds for school activities and support projects not covered by District general funds.
The main objective is to bring about cooperation and coordination of resources to maximize educational opportunities for the students of the Victor Point School and community.
Its volunteer members are made up of parents, teachers, staff and community members. Officers are elected annually in the spring and serve a one year term.
Open meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 3:00pm in the Library.
Pie & Cake Auction
Each fall PTCC coordinates an Annual Pie & Cake Auction. Parents make or purchase pies and/or cakes and donate them to be orally auctioned or sliced and served as refreshment for the evening event. Proceeds from the auction go into the general funds.
Parents from each class also donate items to be assembled into a “basket” that is silent auctioned at the same time the oral auction is taking place. The funds from these baskets also go directly in the Class Account.
This is a great family time to purchase some terrific desserts and catch up with neighbors and friends.
For decorations the night of the event the kids are encouraged to participate in the “Veggie Contest”. Kids use their imagination and creativity to transform any vegetable into a “vegetable creature” that is used for table center pieces the night of the auction. Prizes are awarded.
Safeway Club Card with the eScrip Program
If you shop at Safeway and use your Safeway Club Card (or your phone number) up to 4% of your purchases will be donated to Victor Point automatically all year long. You can register Safeway Club Cards of grandparents and friends to earn even more for our school.
Visit www.escrip.com to learn more ways to contribute and how to sign up for the program.
Register your Target REDCard with the Take Charge of Education Program. Target will then donate 5% of your purchases to our school. Visit http://target.com/tcoe to register.
Box Tops for Education
Box Tops can be clipped from hundreds of products. Worth 10 cents each; they add up fast. Collect all year long. Box Tops can be turned in to the school at any time. However, a Box Top drive is generally held in the spring with the class collecting the most, winning a prize.
Office Depot/Office Max
When purchasing supplies at Office Depot/Office Max remember to let the cashier know you would like their 5% contribution of your purchase to go to Victor Point School. For more information visit this link.
Chili Feed & Raffle
Spring brings our biggest annual fundraiser, the Chili Feed. Students bring home information and tickets to presale. There are individual and class awards for the top sellers. The raffle prizes usually number more than 100 different donated items. The evening also features a cake contest and a cake walk.
